Heavily Used Pine County Road Closed

A highly used road in Pine County will be out of use starting today.

The Beroun Crossing Road also known as County Road 14 west of I-35 will be as of today.

The closure at Homestead Avenue will allow for the construction of the Mission Creek bridge.

According the the Pine County Sheriff’s Department the closure could last for up to two weeks.

Pine County Business Owner Program

A clean energy program in Pine County is being introduced for businesses and non-profits.

The Property Assessed Clean Energy Program or PACE helps update businesses for clean energy.

Pine County is offering two workshops surrounding the program on Friday, September 8th.

The first is held at Essentia Health in Sandstone at 10 am, and the second at the Pine City Library at 1 pm.

60 Months for Repeat Offender in Pine County

A Grasston man was recently sentenced to 60 months in prison.

Dominic Zaccardi was sentenced to five years in prison covering four felonies, and Zaccardi has 10 prior felony convictions dating back to 2000.

The four felonies he’s been convicted of this sentencing are possessing stolen property, terroristic threats, felon in possession of a firearm, and burglary.

Pine County Farmers Union Meeting

The Pine County Farmers Union annual meeting is tomorrow.

Minnesota Farmers Union President Gary Wertish will serve as keynote speaker.

The meeting will be held at the American Legion Post in Pine City.
