Boys Hockey
Pine City made it 11 wins in a row last night with a 10-0 win over Legacy Christian Academy.
The Dragons got on the board right away with Jan Zahradka netting two first period goals. Pine City would pour it on in the second period adding six goals in the second period. They finished strong getting two more in the third. Zahradka recorded his first career (American) hat trick and Howie Hodena scored his first varsity goal. Zahradka and Jonah Bergstrom each had five points in the victory. Sophomore netminder Alex Laven was strong in the effort gaining his second shut out of the season.

The Dragons improved to 18-5 on the season matching last year's win total with two games left in the regular season. They do not get any time off as they travel tonight to face off against Proctor. The Rails are 7-13-2 this season with wins over mutual opponents Moose Lake and Northern Lakes. They lost to Mora/Milaca and tied Chisago Lakes.
Expect a physical game tonight. Proctor is second in the state in penalty minutes with 326 minutes and Pine City is 7th with 281. Puck drop is 7:00 and the game can be heard on 106.5 FM/AM 1350.
