Baseball Playoffs Underway for Area Teams

Section 5A

The Braham Bombers were awarded the number one seed in section 5A this year. They had a first round bye and will now take on #5 seed East Central today. The Eagles upset #4 Onamia 7-5 last week on Thursday.

Hinckley-Finlayson is the #2 seed in the section. They are facing off against #6 Ogilive. The Lions beat Isle 8-2 last week and the Jaguars defeated McGregor-Cromwell 16-0.

The second round games are today in Hinckley.

Section 7AA

Section 7AA will be a close one with Esko, Mora, and Aitkin getting the top three seeds. First round games are today.

#1 Esko vs #8 Rush City at UMD

#4 MLWR vs #5 Pine City at UMD

#2 Mora vs #7 Crosby-Ironton at Proctor on 106.5 FM/AM 1350

#3 Aitkin vs #6 Barnum at Proctor

Section 7AAA

North Branch is the #4 seed and will host #5 seed Hermantown today at 2:00.

Section 7AAAA

Cambridge Isanti is the #8 seed taking on #1 seed Blaine.
