A woman has sustained life threatening injuries following a head-on collision near North Branch.
Chisago County authorities were called just before 10 p.m. on Saturday regarding the collision between two vehicles that occurred on Keystone Avenue just south of Sunrise Road located in the North Sunrise Township.
At the scene, deputies from the Chisago County Sheriff's Office found a 2013 Honda Elantra GLS Limited and a 2003 Saturn L200. The drivers are believed to be the sole occupants of their respective vehicles.
One driver was transported via ambulance to a medical facility in Minneapolis for non-life threatening injuries. The other driver was transported via helicopter to a medical center in St. Paul for life threatening injuries.
The names of the drivers have not been released at this time.
