The Pine City Dragons are on a roll. The boys basketball team has only lost one game in 2019 and have won 15-straight games. Pine City now sits at 22-3 on the season with just one game left before playoffs.
When the Dragons celebrated a 71-53 win at Moose Lake-Willow River on Tuesday night, they also celebrated another milestone as Seth Logan recorded his 1000th career point. The Dragons junior forward joins his older brother Clay in the Dragons "1,000 point club". They are the first pair of brothers in Pine City school history to reach this milestone. Clay Logan scored his 1000th career point on January 11th of last year.
With another full season left in his career, Seth will be making a run at the Dragons all-time scoring record currently held by Noah Adams. Adams finished his career with 1,457 points. Logan would have to average around 15 points per game next year to break that record.
Pine City travels to Hinckley-Finlayson on Friday night to try take down the Jaguars for sole possession of first place in the Great River Conference. The Dragons currently sit at 5th place in Section 6AA. The section playoffs begin next Thursday.
