The North Branch Vikings suffered an 11-6 loss yesterday on the road to Rogers, but the game still held cause for celebration. Vikings senior Clint Mattson broke the school's all-time hit record in the top of the 2nd inning.
Mattson's RBI single was the 65th hit of his career breaking a record previously held by Brett Klun. The Vikings are now 0-4 on the season and will be looking for their first win when they take on Monticello on Thursday.
