Two teens have been arrested in relation to a home invasion and shooting that occurred on May 16.
According to the Chisago County Sheriff's Office, authorities were called to a residence in the Sunrise Township just before 1 a.m. regarding a home invasion.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement that the three suspects had fled in an unknown vehicle, and a 22-year-old male was found shot.
The victim was taken via helicopter to a trauma center in the Twin Cities where he was last listed in stable condition.
Through the investigation, two juveniles have been arrested for aiding and abetting attempted 1st-degree murder and aiding and abetting aggravated robbery.
The suspects have already appeared in juvenile court on these charges, but Chisago County Attorney's Office has filed to have them classified as adults.
The sheriff's office does not believe this was a random act since the suspects and victim were acquaintances.
Law enforcement is looking for assistance from the public in locating Nicholas Isaiah Antoine James. It is believed that James is in the St. Cloud area with ties to Chicago, Illinois.
Anyone with information on James’ whereabouts should contact your local law enforcement. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
