Bombers Win Battle of Unbeatens


Rush City took on the Braham Bombers at home on Friday night.

The Tigers played in a close game against the Bombers. Rush City scored the first points of the game on a rushing touchdown from Zeth Hahn. But Braham would score two touchdowns by Luke Bendickson and take a 14-8 lead going into half. Bendickson would get his third rushing touchdown of the game on the Bombers first play in the second half as the Bombers lead was extended to 20-8. Rush City wasn’t out of it yet as Hermanson would score a late touchdown for the Tigers. Tigers converted for two to inch closer 20-16. Late in the game Rush City had one last chance to score. On fourth and two the Tigers would come up just short giving the ball back to the Bombers. Braham would take a knee to drain the clock and win the game 20-16.

The Rush City Tigers are 3-1 on the season. They play the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars in their next game at home Friday, September 20th at 7pm. The Braham Bombers move to 3-0 on the season. The Bombers will play Deer River in their next game at home Friday, September 20th at 7pm.
