Braham hosted Hinckley-Finlayson today in the Section 7A semifinals.
Braham opened up the matchup with three touchdowns in the first quarter. Carson Shockman scored first on a 15 yard rushing touchdown. Luke Bendickson scored the next two, a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown, to give the Bombers a commanding 22-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Jacob Grice would get the Jaguars on the board before halftime. Grice had a 6 yard receiving touchdown from Cedric LaFave to put the Jaguars on the board 22-6. Hinckley-Finlayson looked like they had all the momentum coming out of halftime. Jacob Perrotti caught a 7 yard touchdown to make the score 22-12 at the end of the third quarter. But Braham took control in the fourth quarter scoring two more touchdowns; Bendickson 3 yard rush and Hayden Lee 59 yard rush, to push their lead to 36-12. Hinckley-Finlayson would add a late rushing touchdown from Ashton Hosler, to cut the score to 36-20. Hinckley-Finlayson also recovered the onside kick but it was too little too late. Braham finished off the victory 36-20.
The Bombers advance to the section 7A championship game next Friday against Deer River. The Warriors defeated Braham 20-12 in the regular season. Hinckley-Finlayson season ends with a 5-5 record.
