6,000 Chisago County Residents were without power for a short period of time this past weekend after a possibly impaired driver crashed into an electric pole.
According to a post on the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash in Lent Township around 2:30 Saturday afternoon.
A citizen called in the crash after asking the driver questions to which the driver ignored and began running across a nearby field.
The deputy and K-9 unit had tracked down and taken the suspect into custody within seven minutes of arriving on the scene.
The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office believes the suspect was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.
