Braham Suffers 2nd Loss to Pine City

The Bombers made their way to Pine City Tuesday night.

Both teams came into this game off a loss, and hoping to improve their conference record.

The Bombers were able to hold down the high flying Dragon offense for a moment and held a 9-5 lead. Braham seemed to be holding all the cards. Sooner than later that high flying offense got its kickstart and began scoring at will. Pine City went on a 14-0 run to help them to a 19-9 lead. They controlled the rest of the 1st half, building on their lead. They would go into halftime up 45-21.

Coming out of half both teams hit somewhat of a scoring lull. The Bombers would outscore the Dragons in the first part of the second half 15-5. It looked like Braham had put all the ingredients together for a comeback. But a long three from Pine City ended that impressive run. After the drained three the Dragons would end the game on a 13-4 run which helped them seal a 63-40 victory.

With the win Pine City sits at 11-9 on the year and 8-2 in the conference. With East Central's loss to Rush City last night, the Dragons are within a game of possibly taking home another Great river Conference title. The Dragons will be in Milaca for a section game against the Wolves.

Braham falls to 5-13 and 2-7 in conference play. They will travel to East Central on Friday for another conference clash.
