Cambridge Man Sentenced to 10 Years For Drug Trafficking

On June 8th of 2022, Ismael “Jordan” Yannick Toovi of Cambridge, MN was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on drug charges in the District of Nebraska.


In May 2021, the East Central Drug and Violent Offenders Task (ECDVOTF) began investigating Toovi’s involvement in the trafficking and distribution of “M30” fentanyl pills in the Isanti/Chisago County area. In June 2021, Toovi and an accomplice were successfully interdicted by law enforcement in an interstate drug trafficking incident in Nebraska. Over 5,000 fentanyl pills and more than six grams of cocaine were seized from the pair.


Toovi pled guilty to count one of the indictment: 21 USC 841(a)(1) and 21 USC 841(b)(1) Possession with Intent to Distribute 400 Grams or More of Mixture or Substance Containing Detectable Amount of Fentanyl. He will spend an additional five years under supervision upon prison release.
