The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says they are investigating what they believe is a triple homicide after three people were found dead at a home in Fish Lake Township Sunday.
According to a release, deputies were called to the home on Brunswick Road around 8 a.m. after a family member contacted the agency requesting a welfare check because they had not been able to the occupants.
Law enforcement located three individuals, who were reportedly killed by gunshot wounds.
Investigators from the Chisago County Sheriff’s Investigations Unit and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) believe that this was not a random incident.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies on the three victims to
determine the cause and manner of death.
