The Dragons used great scoring balance and a solid defensive performance to stay undefeated. Five Dragons were in double figures. "We have shown that we have a lot of players who can put the ball in the basket. It is a huge advantage for us as our opponents cannot key on one or two of our players." Braham hung around early as the Dragons were up 12-9 early in the game. "Braham came out strong and forced us to make a few adjustments defensively." Once the adjustments were made, the Dragons went on a 31-8 run the rest of the half to lead 43-17 at the half. Pine City continued to add to the lead in the second half and played the whole roster a number of minutes. On her record setting night, Lily Wilson had 17 points including 5 threes, 3 rebounds and three assists. Ellie Hasz had 16 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Meredith Kolling had 11 points and 6 rebounds. Ashley Faur had 10 points and 7 rebounds. Sophie Lahti also had 10 points. Kloey Lind had 6 points and 11 rebounds. Alaina Steele had 3 points, 4 assists and 5 steals. Ally Chromey rounded out the scoring with 1 point. "It was a nice start to the week. The kids continue to play great team basketball. The kids continue to take pride in setting up their teammates and sharing the ball. It is really fun to be a part of."

It was a battle of undefeated teams in the young season. The Dragon defense proved to be too tough early in this one. The Dragons built a 22-3 lead half way through the first half and lead 38-14 at half time. "When the kids are playing with intensity, they can make it pretty tough for the other team to score." "Defense is what we are really focusing our efforts on in the early part of the season, and the kids have responded well." Ellie Hasz had a very nice game with 20 points which included 3 very smooth 3 pointers. She also had 9 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 assists. Lily Wilson scored 15 points and added 4 assists and 3 steals. Alaina Steele continues to impress with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 steals. Ashley Faur continues to get better every game and was in double figures once again with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Freshman Kloey Lind has been impressive on the boards this season and had 8 more in this game along with 5 points. Makenna Nelson had 3 points and played solid defense. Meredith Kolling had 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.
"We have a lot of tough games coming up on our schedule. We are happy to be 5-0 but we know we need to continue to get better everyday if we are to meet all of our goals this season."
