George Miller Scores Hat Trick as the Dragons Defeat the Bluejackets

The Dragons hockey team traveled to Isanti last night to take on the Bluejackets.

The Dragons opened up the game with three straight goals in a matter of 5 minutes. The Bluejackets answered back with one of their own shortly after Pine City notched their 3rd goal. With under seven minutes left in the 1st period Pine City scored their 4th goal. But the Dragons weren’t done scoring yet. They were able to grab two more goals before the end of the period. The Dragons had a commanding 6-1 lead after one. The 2nd period was slowed by a great defensive battle on the ice. With under 5 minutes to play in the 2nd, the Bluejackets Ryan Olsen scored on a short handed goal. The Dragons would avenge that goal a short two minutes later. The Dragons scored another goal before the period ended, giving them an 8-2 lead going into the 3rd. Pine City scored less than two minutes into the 3rd period, before scoring their final goal of the night halfway through the period. The Dragons went on to win 10-2. George Miller scored the hat trick, and Dusty Bergstrom and Parker Sell finished with two goals.

The Dragons improve to 18-5 on the season. They will travel to face #10 Duluth Denfeld tonight. The Bluejackets fall to 4-19, and will host Becker/Big Lake tonight.
