Isanti County Sheriff's Office responds to Wyanett Township farm accident

Isanti County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a farm accident in Wyanett Township on Sunday afternoon.


According to a news release, authorities were contacted in regards to a male party who was reportedly pinned between a skid loader and a tractor in the 36100 block of Dolphin St. NW.


The man was found pinned in the cab of the skid loader under the front wheels of a

Farmall tractor, which had driven into the cab of the skid loader.


According to the news release, the accident was caused by an attempt to pull-start the tractor by pulling it with the skid loader’s bucket while lifted in the air. When the tractor’s clutch was released, it started and drove into the skid loader's cab.


The tractor’s wheel was removed to extricate the man, who was transported to a hospital for his injuries.


Dalbo Fire, North Memorial ground and air ambulance, Isanti County Safety and Rescue, and the Princeton, Cambridge, Isanti, and Braham police departments assisted at the scene.
