An Isanti man is currently facing charges after he was arrested for allegedly stealing from firearms shipments over the past year.
According to a press release from the Department of Justice, law enforcement were notified of guns being stolen from Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) shipments that were being sent through the logistics company XPO Logistics.
The company’s security manager reportedly identified that 31-year-old Jason Cikotte as the suspect taking the firearms based on security footage evidence.
Law enforcement conducted a search of Cikotte’s residence and discovered 40 total stolen guns, tens of thousands of ammunition rounds and firearm accessories. After the arrest, Cikotte admitted to the theft and made his initial appearance in court on March 25th
.
Cikotte has been charged with one count of possessing stolen firearms.
