Isanti Passes Policy on Metal Detecting

The city of Isanti heard comments on enacting a policy in regards to metal detecting on city property at their February 2nd city council meeting


Discussions on the topic were tabled from January 19th to allow the council to obtain more information on the topic The new policy allows for residents to metal detect on city property under certain rules and regulations in a waiver and release form.


The form contains rules that reflect many items on the Minnesota Metal Detecting’s code of ethics including any items of historical or monetary significance will be given to the city. The council passed the policy unanimously.
