Kanabec County Driver's License Office to operate on limited schedule

The Kanabec County Driver’s License Office will operate on a limited schedule for the rest of May and June.

At Tuesday’s county board meeting, public works director Chad Gramentz received approval to advertise for a vacant highway secretary position following a resignation.

Gramentz said the driver’s license office will have to temporarily close due to personnel constraints.

"We're going to have a period of the driver's license [office] being closed because we don't have anybody that's passed the background for it," he said.

The office is located at the Public Works building at 903 Forest Avenue East in Mora. Residents can call 320-679-6300 to check availability.

Other driver’s license office locations are in Pine City, Milaca, Sandstone, Cambridge, Princeton, and Foley.
