A Kanabec County woman was sentenced to 99 months in prison stemming from 2024 drug-related charges on Friday, Jan. 24.
According to a news release from the East Central Drug and Violent Offenders Task Force, 63-year-old Lu Bixler was under investigation for the sale of methamphetamines and fentanyl in December of 2023.
That investigation resulted in a search warrant executed in January of 2024.
Bixler was charged with first-degree sale of 10 or more grams of fentanyl; first-degree sale of 17 or more grams of meth within a 90-day period; and a third- and fourth-degree drug possession charge.
According to the task force, Bixler is a repeat offender with a prior drug conviction.
She was convicted on all four counts.
