Pine City Mayor Kent Bombard will remain in the position after winning in Tuesday’s general election.
Bombard finished with just shy of 50 percent of the vote, with 734 in total. Runner-up Sheldon Gallmeier received 23 percent of the vote, at 341.
In the city council race, where two seats were up for grabs, Dan Swanson was elected to fill a vacancy with 31.7 percent of the vote.
The second-leading vote-getter was former incumbent Kyle Palmer, who resigned from his seat on October 12th.
Palmer received just over 23% of the vote, with 491.
Mollie Davis finished with 461 votes, or 21.7 percent.
In the Pine City School Board race, incumbents Tim Geisler, Becci Palmblade, and Shaun Macho will be joined by challenger Wayne Gilman in claiming the four available seats.
Billy Head was the odd man out in the race. Geisler captured most of the vote, with 23.2 percent, followed by Gilman with about 21.1 percent.
Mora’s tightly-contested city council race saw incumbent Kyle Shepard retain his seat, along with newcomers Shane Knutson and Jen Henry.
Knutson commanded the largest share of votes, with 802, accounting for 26.9 percent.
Sam Pioske, the fourth challenger in the race, finished just 17 votes shy of Shepard, with 684 to Shepard’s 701.
In Mora’s school district contest, where voters elected three to seats, current board chair Scott Moe will keep his seat, and was joined in winning by Jill Koch and Janel Murphy.
The North Branch mayoral race saw incumbent Kevin Schieber retain his seat against challenger Lorraine Moeller, winning 57 percent of the vote.
In the city council contest, incumbent Robert Canada will keep his seat, and newcomer Jeff Goulet claimed the second available seat with just over 27 percent of the vote.
Cambridge city councilor Mark Ziebarth was re-elected, and joined by Molly Christian as Cambridge residents voted to fill two vacancies.
Braham and Ogilvie did not have any contested races.
