MnDOT announced its 2025 road construction projects on Wednesday, including multiple that will impact motorists in east-central Minnesota.
A bridge replacement project on I-35 in Hinckley, including work on the southbound rail bridge, Grindstone River bridge, and Highway 48 on- and off-ramps is anticipated to be completed by October.
Significant traffic impacts from the work aren’t expected until May.
MnDOT will also finish installing a traffic management system from County Road 22 in Wyoming to the Pine/Chisago County line north of Rush City.Â
That work began in August of 2024.
Starting this month, MnDOT will replace signs on Highway 23 between Brook Park and Becks Road in Duluth.Â
A project in North Branch will add left turn lanes on Highway 95 at 392nd Street by August, and eight Highway 169 bridges will be resurfaced and updated in Princeton.
