The Mora City Council unanimously voted to accept the results of MnDOT’s Highway 23 and 65 corridor study at last week’s meeting.
As part of the study, MnDOT has recommended single-lane roundabouts at Union Street, Clark Street, and Forest Avenue, as well as enhancing pedestrian crossing systems.
A roundabout is also recommended at the intersection of Highway 23 and 65 at Dala Lane, replacing an existing traffic signal.
Those improvements are planned for 2030 and 2031.
MnDOT also recommended future single-lane roundabouts at Highway 65 and 9th Street, and Highway 23 and Mahogany Street.
Preliminary project design is slated for 2027 and 2028.
