The Lady Mustangs hosted Braham on Monday night.
This was the 2nd meeting between these two teams this season, in the newly expanded conference. The Bombers came in looking to get one win closer to their 20th of the season, while the Mustangs were looking for a win in their final regular season home game.
The Bombers scored first and took an early lead, but Mora wouldn't take long before getting on the board with a couple of free throws. Braham would go on an 8-0 run thanks to Morgan Rysdam picking off a bunch of passes and feeding her sister Alex for the scores. They were now ahead by 10 points and but they wouldn't be able to pull away. Mora was able to cut their deficit in half and they were right back in it. But Braham ended the 1st half on an 18-2 run taking a 38-11 at halftime.
The Bombers defense came out and protected their lead in the 2nd half, allowing them to lead for the entire 36 minutes of the game. The Mustangs didn't fold though, despite trailing the entire game they played strong and showed alot of heart and battled to the final buzzer. But at the end of the game Braham was victorious 60-24.
The Bombers will finish the regular season at home on Thursday. They'll host Barnum as they look to capture their 20th win on the season.
The Mustangs will play their final two games of the season on the road at St Cloud Cathedral on Thursday and Friday at Pillager.
