The city of Mora will be moving forward with the potential of the GreenStep Cities program after a community member brought forward interest.
The GreenStep Cities program aims to provide cities a pathway to sustainability and resiliency based on the implementation of best practices specific to Minnesota cities. Several communities participate in the program including Braham, Pine City and Isanti.
The program consists of 29 best practices that the city can strive for including environmental management, transportation, land use practices, buildings and lightings and more.
The council voted to move forward with the program, the city will begin to look for a potential coordinator and team to lead and help design steps moving forward. If you would like more information on the GreenStep cities program, you can check out their website.
