Mora Public Schools is moving ahead with selling the former high school property on its own.
Superintendent Dan Voce said the district is accepting requests for proposals from parties interested in purchasing the property.
Voce said the property will be up for sale until the first week in May.
"That'll be up for sale until the first week in May, so people will have some time to take a look at that, and work with the city as far as zoning and things of that sort," Voce said.
All proposals must be received by the district by 12 p.m. on Friday, May 3.
Voce said the district’s property east of Maple Avenue is about 15 acres on the south shore of Lake Mora.
"Property that is south of Maple is the parking lot by the water tower," Voce said. "There's a little bit of property, there's a city street that kind of goes through the middle of it. So east of there, there's a couple of lots there."
According to the district, the approximately 2.14 acres on the south side of Maple Avenue East is inclusive of two separate parking lots.
Demolition of the former high school has continued over the winter.
