Mora Puts up Over 100 Points in Victory on Saturday

The Mora boys basketball team hosted West Lutheran on Saturday night.

These two teams wasted no time getting on the board and it was evident early on we were in for a lot of points, just how much was TBD. The Mustangs were on the board first and quickly jumped out to a double digit lead. The Warriors had called a couple early timeouts to try and get on track, it seemed to help as they were able to get their offense rolling. Mora was playing at breakneck speed, and their defense was playing just as fast as the offense. The Mustangs were playing as good of complimentary ball as a coach could ask for, passes were smooth, plays were executed at a high level and if a shot was missed they were there for the second chance scoring opportunity. Defensively, they got back and set up in no time, they kept hands in the passing lanes, didn't allow too many open lanes to drive and forced a lot of shots from the Warriors. But as mentioned before offense was the essence of the game. Mora seemed nearly unstoppable on offense, as they had very few possessions where they didn't score. At the half they lead 71-38.

The 2nd half was no different, their offense was scoring early and often and the defense was locked in. Mora left no doubt as to who was going to win this game, as much as the offense played superb, the defense also did a stellar job holding the Warriors to 26 points in the 2nd half. The Mustangs cruised to victory 116-64.

The Mustangs remain unbeaten on the season at 4-0. They won't play until Thursday when they travel to Milaca.
