A North Branch man has been indicted by a Chisago County grand jury on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct linked to a 2010 cold case.
According to a news release, 44-year-old Donald Warner was previously charged in December of 2023 for the criminal conduct supporting the indictment.
Chisago County prosecutors are now able to seek a life sentence if he is convicted in district court.
Warner is also separately charged in an attempted sexual assault case in Lindstrom in 2017.
He made his first appearance in court on the new file on Monday.
Warner’s bail is set at $1.5 million, and he’ll appear in court next on Tuesday, July 2nd.
