The Ogilvie School Board scheduled a special election to fill a vacancy, and appointed Carl Boudreau to the open seat in the interim at a special meeting on Thursday.
The special election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The board accepted the resignation of former board member Jim Hanna at a meeting on Feb. 24.
Hanna, who served on the board for 14 months, vacated his seat due to moving out of the school district.
At Thursday's meeting, the board also voted to appoint Boudreau to fill the vacancy until the special election.
Boudreau was one of two applicants for the position. The other, Amanda Stevenson, withdrew her name from contention prior to the meeting.
