The Pine City girls basketball team traveled to St. Cloud to take on St. Cloud Cathedral last night.
The Dragons did what they have all season, played great defense and moved the ball around on offense. For the first time this season, the Dragons allowed more than 40 points in a game. But that didn't stop them as five players scored in double digits for the Dragons, that’s the second time this year they’ve had five players score double digit points. Meredith Kolling lead the team with 21 points. Ashley Faur(14), Sophie Lahti(13), Alaina Steele(12), and Ellie Hasz(10) were the other four players with double digit scoring. This helped propel the Dragons over the Crusaders 79-48.
The Dragons remain unbeaten this season at 6-0. Pine City now has over a week off before their next game. They will be back in St. Cloud next Thursday and Friday for the Granite City Classic. They play Hutchinson on Thursday and Annandale on Friday.
