The cities of Princeton and Mora are warning residents about a rise in local scam calls.
The Princeton Public Utilities & Mora Public Utilities have received calls from residents, claiming to have received phone calls from them demanding immediate payment of utility bills.
Both cities' Public Utilities says that if you receive such a call to thank the caller for the information and contact the company directly using the number located on your bill or on the company website.
Public Utilities will never demand any banking information from you and never force you to pay by phone.
