Two-vehicle Isanti County crash results in two fatalities

A two-vehicle crash in Isanti County on Monday afternoon resulted in two fatalities.

According to a news release from the Isanti County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a crash on 269th Avenue NE, near the intersection of Tucker Trail NE, just after 2 p.m.

Deputies immediately determined that a male driver was deceased at the scene upon arrival.

Life-saving efforts were attempted on a second male driver, who also died at the scene.

Both of their identities are pending positive identification by the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.

The crash is under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Isanti Police Department, Isanti Fire Department, and Isanti County Reserves assisted at the scene.
